13-17 May 2019 Chamonix (France)

General information

The 51st Rosetta SWT and Science Workshop will be held from May 13-17, 2019 at the Refuge des Aiglons hotel in Chamonix, France.

A special rate of 180 EUR has been arranged with the hotel to cover lunches (Tuesday-Thursday), coffee breaks and seminar fees.


The registration fee also covers the excursion to the Mer de Glace glacier on Wednesday afternoon and the conference dinner on Tuesday evening.

Dinner each day is not included in the registration fee, except for the conference dinner.

Excursion

We will take the train from Chamonix to the Montenvers (alt.: 1913m) for a panoramic view over the Mer de Glace glacier and the Drus and Grande Jorasse. From there it is possible to walk back down to Chamonix, or take the train back.

Please make sure to bring warm clothes and comfortable walking shoes!

We will meet at 1:30PM in front of the hotel and walk to the Montenvers-Mer de Glace station together.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will take place on Tuesday evening at 7:30PM in the restaurant La Télécabine, 27 rue de la Tour (downtown Chamonix, close to the river). It is a 10 minute walk from the conference hotel.
